The Castello Scaligero in Sirmione is gearing up for a special year with an innovative enhancement program promoted by the Municipality of Sirmione in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of National Museums Lombardy and the Consortium of Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Sirmione (CARS).

This project, resulting from a sponsorship agreement valid until December 31, 2026, includes 30 extraordinary opening times that will allow residents and tourists to visit the majestic fortress at usually inaccessible hours.

The extraordinary openings consist of festive afternoon shifts and captivating evening openings, offering new opportunities to explore one of the most iconic symbols of Lake Garda.

The calendar includes festive afternoon openings mainly on Sundays and national holidays, with dates ranging from June to November. Among the special evening openings, some will coincide with the Garda Lake Music Festival. Additionally, there are openings for cultural events, such as the ‘Magnificat’ show.

Some of these openings coincide with days of free entry for everyone, providing additional opportunities to visit the Castle at no cost. Free entry dates include all first Sundays of the month and days like June 2, April 25, and November 4.
