An unmissable event for vintage car enthusiasts is approaching: the XVIII edition of the Coppa Franco Mazzotti, organized by the Club della Mille Miglia in honor of Franco Mazzotti, one of the founders of the legendary 1000 Miglia. This year, the race confirms its position as one of the main regularity events in the ACI Storico calendar, following the great success of previous editions.

The cars will depart on Saturday, October 3 at 9:15 am from Sirmione, heading towards Idro with a stop in Salò. In the afternoon, the journey will continue towards Riva del Garda, culminating in a charming dinner on a boat and overnight stay in Sirmione.

On Sunday, October 4, at 8:30 am, the event will resume from Sirmione towards Pozzolengo, Monzambano, and Valeggio sul Mincio, crossing the picturesque Parco Sigurtà. This year’s novelty is the conclusion of the race at the Idroscalo di Desenzano Aerobase Militare “Alta Velocità”, with the final lunch and award ceremony.

To ensure the smooth running of the event, some changes to the traffic circulation will be necessary in Sirmione. In particular, Piazzale Porto and the first part of Lungolago Diaz will be completely closed to traffic from 9:00 am on Friday, October 2 until 12:00 pm on Sunday, October 4, as established by ordinance No. 123 of September 29, 2026. These areas will be used for the parking and departure of the fascinating vintage cars participating in the race.
