An unmissable automotive event is approaching: the XVIII edition of the Franco Mazzotti Cup will take place next weekend, organized by the Club of the Mille Miglia Franco Mazzotti in honor of one of the founders of the legendary 1000 Miglia, Franco Mazzotti. After the great success of previous years, the race confirms itself as one of the most anticipated events in the ACI Storico calendar, with an ever-increasing number of participants.

The cars will depart from Sirmione on Saturday, October 3rd at 9:15 am, heading towards Idro via Salò, and then continuing in the afternoon towards Riva del Garda. The day will conclude with a charming dinner on a boat and overnight stay in Sirmione.

On Sunday, October 4th, at 8:30 am, the competition will resume from Sirmione towards Pozzolengo, Monzambano, and Valeggio sul Mincio, passing through the picturesque Parco Sigurtà. For the first time, the race will end at the Idroscalo of Desenzano Aerobase Militare ‘Alta Velocità’, with a final lunch and the awards ceremony.

For the event, some changes to traffic circulation in Sirmione are expected: certain areas, such as Piazzale Porto and Lungolago Diaz, will be completely closed to traffic to allow for the parking and departure of the fascinating vintage cars participating in the race, from 9:00 am on Friday, October 2nd to 12:00 pm on Sunday, October 4th, as indicated in ordinance no. 123 of September 29, 2026.
